Eun-Jeong Choi (aka E.J.) is a designer, a visual thinker and a mentor. She is a creative director who for the last 18 years has been honing her skills in many facets of the design industry. Her approach is all about conceptual clarity. She uses her passion for typography and photography in concert to create designs that are simple, yet beautiful.
She has earned two MFA degrees in design, and has applied that knowledge as a branding and packaging designer, magazine editorial designer, and advertising creative director.
Besides her career in design, she has also served as a professor at universities in both the United States and Korea, with a focus on typography and art direction in graphic design and advertising. One of her greatest pleasures is mentoring students, many of whom have gone on to find success as art directors and designers in the advertising industry.
Her diverse experience in design is unique. It has prepared her to be a creative problem solver, and taught her that successful design execution involves not only talent and vision, but also discipline and flexibility. This is a lesson that she applies to both her job and her life.
In addition to design and photography, E.J.’s interests include classical piano, fusion cuisine, foreign languages, and shoes... especially high heels.
